Former CARCASS Frontman Performs At DOWNLOAD Festival With Broken Shoulder
June 14, 2006Former CARCASS frontman Jeff Walker has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"So, just back from hospital. Turns out I did my set with THIS IS MENACE at [the] Download [festival] with a broken shoulder!!!
"I was involved in a collision which rolled my Landrover on the way there on Saturday [June 10] — it's a complete write off. Luckily me and Vincent Cavanagh (ANATHEMA),who was my passenger, walked away pretty unscathed. He's got a cut on his arm, which has got a bit of glass in it, but other than that and my shoulder we're pretty lucky to be alive!
"Bah, if only I'd have been killed, I might have got some publicity and sold some CDs, ha ha!"

As previously reported, Walker has launched a MySpace.com page at this location. Included on the site are several samples from Walker's recently issued solo album, "Welcome to Carcass Cuntry", available now on Fractured Transmitter Records.
The CD, which consists exclusively of country and blues covers, includes tracks from such artists as SKEETER DAVIS, HANK WILLIAMS, JOHNNY CASH, CONNIE SMITH, and JOHN DENVER — albeit with a metallic spin.
